GRAND OPENING FOR: A WALK WITH BEVERLY!
Hey kids! And kids at heart! Bring your family! Bring your friends! Bring your classmates! Bring a wagon or your dog! It's going to be great! It's outdoor fun to promote literacy and history. Come grab a brochure and take a walk, Saturday, May 15th. We will have a ribbon cutting with our local town Mayor, Yvette Potter on the corner of Hwy 47 and W First St at HIGH noon. Come to Yamhill 11am -3pm, have a cocoa, a latte, a taco, a pizza or a sandwich at our great local restaurants and snacks at T&E! This day will be a lot of fun! But, don't worry, if you miss our Grand Opening, you can still come anytime!
Meet the picture book author Vicki Conrad who wrote, Just Like Beverly published in 2019. Signed copies will be available to purchase.

Organized by the Yamhill Downtown Association and sponsored by Yamhill County Cultural Coalition/YCCC to honor local legend Beverly Cleary and Yamhill history. We are excited the event is now going to have a permanent focus with a walking tour for people to come enjoy the small town where she grew up on a farm. Local business support the walking tour brochure with coupons you can use anytime.
Learn fun facts about how Yamhill got it's start and what Beverly did when she was young to promote reading. Be inspired to read her books or even write your own story!
Our big day of opening is around the corner! It is designed to share a little slice of local Yamhill history with the fun creative characters of Beverly Cleary. Yamhill is known for many "firsts". A great start in Oregon history. Come check us out!
