Here is a Holy Week craft I taught for Sunday school a few years back. Many of the supplies are easy to find. What you will need is: a garden pot old or new, potting soil, rocks and sticks to make a tomb, also moss is nice, spring flowers and/or succulents. Buy new or dig them up and replant them in your pot. We even planted some seeds for extra surprise flowers to come up later. A true garden of life and surprise! These angels were made from Sculpey clay that you bake, but any craft clay such as air dry or other clay is good too. My angels have even lasted outside without any sealants for three years. When making the angels remember: 1) Smooth the arms and wings on so they do not fall off in baking 2) Make them hollow or with a hole up the center because it is better for cooking and so you can place them on a stick to proclaim the Risen Tomb! Alleluia! He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!!!
Just like a real spiritual garden, don't forget to water them! Spring showers bring forth flowers! Flowers need sunlight and water to grow! We need the Son of Christ, our Savior and the watering of the Word to help us grow spiritually.
"See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come..." Song of Songs 2:11-12
